Any firm or company in the United Kingdom has to provide specific information which you can check where available to explain how we work and what to do if something goes wrong.

This information can be in all sorts of places (including on the wall at our registered office), but we have decided to include it on our web site so that anyone who wants to see it can do so.

Marc Landsman, sole director of the company, is licensed to act as an insolvency practitioner in the UK by The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Carmichael & Co provides these services on his behalf and under his supervision.

The firm acts in accordance with the relevant insolvency legislation, Insolvency Regulations and Guidance Notes, the Statements of Insolvency Practice for England and Wales issued by the Joint Insolvency Committee and the code of ethics issued by The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. The firm is conscious to avoid conflicts of interest but if a conflict of interest should arise, we will take such steps as are necessary to deal with the conflict in accordance with the code of ethics stated above.

Our terms and conditions are set out in the relevant Letter of Engagement, though our fees are usually agreed by the creditors for each individual insolvency assignment. Examples of the level of fees we would seek are set out elsewhere on the website.

The territorial coverage is worldwide excluding professional business carried out from an office in the United States of America or Canada and excludes any action for a claim brought in any court in the United States of America or Canada.
